An easy way to plan your meals is the Diabetes Plate Method:
🥦 ½ Your Plate — Non-Starchy Vegetables
Broccoli, green beans, spinach, peppers, cauliflower, zucchini
🍗 ¼ Your Plate — Lean Protein
Chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, tofu, or lean meats
🌾 ¼ Your Plate — Carbohydrates
Brown rice, whole grains, beans, potatoes, corn, or whole-grain pasta
